The book was published as part of a comprehensive retrospective exhibition of Kovner’s work in the Museum of Israeli Art, Ramat-Gan, presenting 20 years of landscape paintings. The book encompasses the entirety of Kovner’s work: from the first years at the New York Studio School, through portraits and human figures, to his varied landscapes. The book concludes with a series of New York paintings from 2001. The book is accompanied by an article of art critique Gil Goldfine, reviewing Kovner’s personal and professional history.
